Great beer cheese soup! Our waitress was great. There was 10 of us and was on spot. Couldn't ask for better service. Thank you.

We are from Springfield, Illinois and went there for the first time on 11/14/15. We were so impressed! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful. We had the best time.

This is a reasonably priced fine dining restaurant. Food has always been good every visit I have made, staff is attentive, and a good quiet meal.

Service was slow and untrained, on par with a diner rather than a higher end eatery. The prime rib was full of gristle and not sure it was the proper prime rib cut. Management seemed unwilling to talk about the service or return a call.

The food was disappointing! Of our group of 11, 1 couldn't eat the salmon due to a spoiled smell, 4 couldn't eat the chicken in the Alfredo because it was dry and spongy. The 2 that ordered steaks had gristle and fat more than meat! The ravioli tasted frozen. Not good or in most cases etible! No one in our group will ever go back!

Nice ambiance. Varied menu with great selection and good food. Sometimes servers seem rushed so it doesn't necessarily feel like a "fine dining" experience.

Delicious food, good service, atrocious nauseating artificial apple scent directed at our table. Beware to anyone who is the least bit sensitive to artificial scents, it was awful!

Great food and atmosphere

Worst prime rib I've ever had. Ordered rare and got a grisly grey med well piece of meat. I ve noticed you never respond to bad reviews.

Excellent service and food. Sat 20 people , including 7 teenagers without a reservation or prior notice and we had dinner served in less than 40 minutes!! Very friendly staff and fresh, homemade food.

Calamari and Primerib, need I say more? Ive been twice with family members and both times food was scrumptious and the server was delightful. My birthday is mid-month and Im hoping....

Never had a bad meal. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is upscale and quiet. My favorite place to dine when I'm in town.

I've dined here three times while traveling and every time has been great! The rainbow trout special tonight was outstanding and I have nothing but compliments for the service! While "fine dining" is in the name the prices are reasonable and you would not be turned away for wearing jeans.

Was very disappointed in this place. My husband's steak was cooked medium well when he asked for rare. We took friends from out of state and they didn't really like the place. We have been going here for years and we usually have great food.

went to muggy's for dinner tonight. The braised beef soup had one piece of meat and was tasteless. The mushroom ravioli was just a cheese ravioli with mushrooms on top, which also, lacked flavor. Lastly, the desert was obviously from a chain store and not made in house.I am confused why this would ever be fine dining. We did enjoy the outside area and the waitress was nice.

My husband & I always celebrate our anniversary with a Prime Rib dinner so this being our 10th, we definitely didn’t want to break tradition!! With it sometimes hard to find, we found Muggsy’s served it on the weekends so thought we would give it a try! We were VERY impressed!! The food, atmosphere, & staff were AMAZING!! The King Prime Rib was HUGE & was cooked exactly as ordered!! Hope, our waitress, was fantastic!! Drinks never were empty! The Chef came out to check to see how our meal was & wish us a Happy Anniversary! It wasn’t until the end we found out that the hostess & bus boys were all at Homecoming, leaving just 2 waitresses to handle the entire restaurant....they were so good, we didn’t even realize they were understaffed!!We definitely will be back!!!!

A Rare Treat to find such a Magnificent Restaurant tucked away in older brick Building off the main throughfare of Jacksonville, IL. As a Vegetarian/Vegan I am very particular of where and what I eat. Muggsy's was a real treat. The food and atmosphere creates a truly wonderful experience. I have eaten there several times and the cost is relative to other restaurants in town. YOU WILL ENJOY the EXPERIENCE!!! :+)

The waitress was attentive and informed us when an allergin was in one of the appetizers, but, she didn't tell the cooks. Food is good but it's way over priced, folks who ate the appitizer stated that it tasted odd. Also that they had no butter, only margarine. For what they charge for filet mignon, they should have butter. Not very generous in their portions either. Left there still hungry.

Favorite place in the area to eat. Hand cut steaks, seafood, chicken, chops, varied menu. Don't let the name fool you, the food is realang great BUT the price is outrageously inexpensive. Give them a try.

Best butterfly porkchops ever only there once staff was friendly I would definitely go back
